Program: [Art residence]

Supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation
Is accepting applications from Russian and international artists for staying at the Art Residence NCCA-ROSIZO in Kronstadt in 2020.

Invited to participate the artists working in different contemporary art media - photography, video art, performance, installation, easel painting and graphics, sculpture, public-art and landscape projects, with socio-artistic and archive research.

Documents application conditions for residency participation:
● fill in the residence application form (doc or docx) with the planned project description or assumed artistic activities during residency
● attach your CV and portfolio (personal site link or pdf file), your scanned passport copy
● send everything listed above to until (23:59 Moscow time) October 15, 2019 with the theme "OPEN CALL"

Residency plan can include:
● Working on a project from start to finish. Please, try to describe in detail, on what kind of work you would like to spend your time at the Residence;
● Working on a certain stage of some project that is already in progress;
● Project public presentation, artist-talk participation, workshop or lecture.

Contest stages:
● Application deadline: until (23:59 Moscow time) October 15st 2019;
● Selected candidates will be identified no later than November 10, 2019 and informed about the art-residency participation via e-mail;
● Until November 20st 2019 contest winners have to confirm their participation and the residency dates.

The applications will be reviewed by the Residence Board of Experts, which will consist of NCCA-ROSIZO staff. The decision of the Board is not subject to review or decline explanations.

Conditions of stay:
● The contest winners are awarded a free residency for the time which is no longer than 30 days;
● International residents will receive an official invitation for visa.
● We do not cover visa and transportation costs, food, working materials, long-distance telephone calls or any other expenses related to the residency and public presentation of the works.
● Possible arrival dates: from January 15th to December 31st, 2019 for Russian artists, from February 15th to December 31st, 2019 for international artists.

About NCCA-ROSIZO Kronstadt Residence
The National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) – ROSIZO Art Residence in Kronstadt provides Russian and foreign artists with an opportunity to implement creative ideas in the framework of international cultural exchange program, targeted educational programs and individual projects.

Kronstadt Art Residence program is opened for the artists of all ages and origins, and it supports artistic processes that adapt innovation in art to general public perception.

Annually we host about 20 residents at the Kronstadt Art Residence. Starting from 2012 residents are selected through an open international competition.

128 artists from Russia and 27 foreign countries have already participated in the “Art Residence program NCCA in Kronstadt”. Among the Residence guests were the artists working with all kinds of media: photography, video art, sculpture and objects, installation, socio-artistic and archive research, easel graphics and painting, public-art and landscape projects, textile design.
