It is not by chance that the Look at Your Home exhibition coincides with the New Year holidays. At this particular time of the year, regardless of age, perception of things miraculous and fairytale becomes keener.

The art of Leonid Tishkov is referred to as fantastic, the artist himself is named a taleteller, a " new Bazhov", an artist with the Ural soul. Ural for him is more than just a birth place. It is a primary element, it gives birth to amazing world of the Tishkov's art, inhabited by mythical creatures, woven of local legends, personal memories and dreams.
Most of the works presented at the exhibition are made of old clothes, which some time ago belonged to different relatives of the artist. Cloth, torn into thin strips ("makhoriki"), was converted into special living matter from which were created Divers from the Heaven, Protodabloids, the Knitling - tangible embodiment of memories of the gone ancestors, which can be seen and felt.

The real wonder is the last hall of the exhibition, that gathered light installations of Leonid Tishkov: Private Moon, Star, Deep Sea Divers, Buckets Full of Light. Each of these works is a small story which the artist combines into visual poems, addressing them to an emotional, capable of dreaming viewer.

Leonid Tishkov is a laureate of international awards, winner of the Grand-prix and other honorary book awards; works of the artist are exhibited in museums and galleries around the world; his works are included into collections of the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Art Centers of Poland and Italy, Nasher Museum (USA) and Museum of Modern Art (USA).
In the frames of the Theatre of One Artist project, interactive performances for children and adults will take place in the exhibition space in December and January. The Theatre of One Artist is a unique project which appeared at the intersection of contemporary art and theatre. Authors of the project - artist Leonid Tishkov and stage director Lev Kharlamov - for the first time united to create two interesting interactive plays: A Boy and the Moon (for children from 3 years and their parents) and The Knitling (for adults and children from 12 years). There is no customary stage. Everything happens in the exhibition space - among objects and installations, which became decorations and characters of the theatre performance, based on texts of the artist.
