How can doubt become a method of artistic investigation?
18-00, June, 29
Discussion with curators and artists
Curators: Silvia Franceschini and Valeria Mancinelli, artists: Basma Alsharif, Louis Henderson, Sophia Gräfe, Daniela Ortiz, Urok Shirhan
The notion of “doubt” challenges images, perceptions and processes of cognition in the works presented in the exhibition. Thanks to an open discussion between the curators and the artists the conversation will try to bring light on the possibility of doubt to become a heuristic method of research and a tool of emancipation. Investigating the doubtful tension that can arise between documents and fiction, between reality and utopia and between the wish to know and its final impossibility, artists will present the background of their work unveiling processes and details of their research process.
