Program: [Theoretical Studies in Cultural Anthropology]

Place: National Centre for Contemporary Arts, the small hall

Participants: Ilya Budraitskis, [Dmitry Gutov], [Mikhail Mayatsky], [Chukhrov Keti]

In contemporary post-structuralist and post-workerist theories labor, even non-material and creative one, is considered a negative concept, suggesting only the exploitation of creative and emancipatory potentials of society. Nevertheless, Marx argues in favor of the humanistic and cultural potentiality of labor. Is such apologia of labor relevant in today’s contemporary cognitive capitalism?
