Matteo Bertele - Ph.D., Scientific Secretary of the CSAR (Center for Russian art) University of Ca Foscari (Venice), curator and coordinator of exhibitions of Russian art. Research interests - Russian artists at the Biennale in Venice, the Russian artists in Italy in the 1st half of the 20th century, the collection and exhibition of unofficial Russian art in Italy and cultural ties between the GDR and the Soviet Union.

At the lecture Matteo Bertele talk about the collections and exhibitions of unofficial Russian art in Italy in the first half of the 20th century, in particular the Russian pavilion at the so-called "Biennale del dissenso", held in 1977 in Venice. The lecturer will affect the ideological debate surrounding this exhibition, as well as memoirs and interviews of artists participating Biennale.
